Kim has been involved with SMRAC since 2005. Initially Kim took on the role of Membership Secretary when the club moved to the track at St Mary's University and the club's name changed to SMRAC. As the club developed at the new venue, Kim took on more roles as other volunteers were not forthcoming. She helped with managing the YAL (Young Athletes League) team and the XC Met league teams alongside Noel Stoddart until he left the club. Kim then took over the full management of these teams until other volunteers stepped in . Kim took on the role of Coaching Co-ordinator for a few years, qualified as a Athlete Coach and then specialised in Hammer and Discus. She was asked to join the National Development Coaching program for Hammer until the program was closed in 2017. Kim regularly represents the club in Hammer throws but has also been known to attempt the Pole vault, 100m , 4x100m relay or steeplechase to earn points for the club in league ccompetitions. Kim regularly represents GB at international Masters competitions in Hammer throws. Kim is also a qualified UKA Official as a Level 2 Starter / Marksman and Level 3 Field Judge. After stepping away from the Committee in 2021, Kim rejoined the Committee as Equipment Officer and Club Sec in 2026. Kim has also started coaching throws in a couple of the local secondary schools.

Hi all, Hansley here :) since joining the club in 2010, it’s a pleasure to enhance my coaching skills and help the local community. It all started at when St Marys University for my assignment, I needed to complete a 3 month coaching diary writing about the sport science disciplines. It was a great experience and giving me the opportunity to be the London Youth Games Team Richmond Team Manager for Athletics. After my peak competing years, training alongside some of the best individuals in the country, as well as competing in British League Division 1 & 2 at my previous club where my coaching began. That gave me the confidence alongside me degree to fulfil new challenges such as being a part of SMRAC team. Maximising athlete’s performances is the aim, however, having fun and impacting they education as well guiding them with life. We all have greatness within us, bringing out others greatness and being the best they can be.

I've been a member of St Mary's since 2016, I'm an enthusiastic VM55-59 runner, taking part in events from 200m to marathon. As Treasurer, I am responsible for the Club's finances. I also try to lend a helping hand elsewhere, particularly for cross-country and other endurance events.
