SMRAC Covid-19 Measures

Hi all,
Please read the following email, outlining processes for the Club’s training session and the rationale for this. If processes are not completed, you may not be able to train at the Club.
Today the Committee have been informed of a small number of Covid-19 cases, which have affected Members of the Club. Two of these had attended Saturday’s Club Celebrations - all close contacts have been informed, however we believe are not related to Saturday’s event itself.
In light of the news of rising cases nationally and the new government guidance from tomorrow, the Committee has decided to do the following:
1) A Covid-19 Co-ordination will be in place again at the Club. For those who are new to the Club, it’ll be me (Caroline). I will be liaising with England Athletics and Public Health England on any guidance and changes to Covid rules etc.
2) The Covid-19 register will be reinitiated to ensure that we have a local track and trace system within the Club. Link is: https://forms.gle/FtUM2XGiPNgP8M5R7 The cut-off times for these forms to be completed are: Tuesday and Thursday - 5:30pm Sunday - 9:30am If you do not complete the form, there will be no entry to the track. Someone will be at the gate checking this form has been completed.
3) The Committee would like Members of the Club to complete a LFT on the day of training to ensure the safety of all Members and to decrease the risk of Covid in the Club.
4) Should coaches/training groups wish to cancel sessions then it’ll be down to the Lead Coach of that discipline(s) to inform the relevant members of the Club. Notifications will also go on the Website so please check this for the latest information.
